Communications
Cynthia Pearson Cole is an accomplished writer, editor and manager. She has 20-some years experience writing, editing and managing works for corporations, non-profit organizations, website entities and national consumer magazines and books. Cindy’s experience also includes public relations and marketing, and even coaching clients for media appearances.
Writing indulges Cindy’s innate curiosity about … most everything business and personal. She particularly enjoys making complex topics easy to understand, and inspiring readers to action. As a communicator, she is flexible and versatile, working in whatever style (voice or form) suits client needs. She appreciates and enjoys developments in communication and technology and finds change exciting.
Worth Noting
Cindy says she grew up, as a writer and editor, on what’s called service journalism.
“Service journalism engages a reader where they are – interest and knowledge-wise – then inspires, informs, and moves them to action.” That approach serves equally well whether the writer is reporting a company’s performance to its shareholders, encouraging a prospective client to trial a new product, or sharing a person’s inspiring story.
Want to know more? Cindy Pearson Cole is the daughter of a Midwestern blended family with roots back east and out west; she is a wife, mom, stepmom and friend. She has worked in communications for years. Of late, Cindy answered a persistent call – and the encouragement of others in the field – to work more directly with people and became a mediator and facilitator. She considers it a privilege to work with people about issues which they hold dear or are important to them. Cindy and her husband enjoy family, friends, and music. Away from their desks you’ll likely find them adventuring outdoors.
